Building a Beauty Business While Working a Full‑Time Job

Running a nail and beauty business while working a full‑time job is equal parts exciting and exhausting. Most days start early and end late, with the “side business” hours squeezed into evenings, weekends, and any spare moment in between. Lunch breaks are spent replying to messages, evenings are spent with clients, and late nights are often dedicated to planning the next step.

There’s a lot people don’t see behind the scenes. It’s not just doing nails or treatments. It’s cleaning, organizing, ordering supplies, posting on social media, managing bookings, and constantly trying to improve. On top of that, I’ve also been learning about skincare and experimenting with creating my own products. That means even more time researching ingredients, testing formulas, and understanding how to make products that are safe and effective.

Some days it honestly feels like working two full‑time jobs. It can be tiring, and progress sometimes feels slow when you’re balancing everything at once. At the same time, there’s something really rewarding about building something that’s completely your own.

Every new client, every message of support, and every small step forward makes the long days worth it. Whether it’s perfecting a nail set, learning a new beauty treatment, or developing a skincare product, each step is part of growing the business and turning a passion into something bigger.
